Tour: Accounting
The General Journal is the starting point for all Journal forms.
The Account Popups Dr (Debit) and Cr (Credit) can be set to specific ranges.
In this example, office staff can settle small purchases from Petty Cash when the owner is out; the Credit columns are set to Hide because there is only one Credit option: Petty Cash.
Accounting can set up any number of journals—GJ (General Journal), SJ (Sales Journal), CJ (CashJournal), etc.—and any number of Divisions or profit centers. This Journal report pulls together both GJ and CJ entries.
The Ledger can show all accounts or a limited range by setting filters.
Trial Balance, Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, and other reports are similarly easy to set up.
